Are the Open courses really free?
Yes, all of it: the content, the final test and the certificate. There is no paid version holding “the rest of the course”, there are no locked modules and no payment method is ever requested. They are free because they are how we get known: anyone who finds an Open course useful then knows where to find us for the serious work.
Do I need an account to read them?
No. You can read every course in full without an account and without leaving any data. Your name and email are asked only at the end, if you decide to take the test, because a certificate has to be made out to someone. If you only want to read, you leave no personal data at all.
How do I get the certificate?
By passing the course final test with at least 80% correct answers. Issuing is automatic and immediate: you get a Certificate of Attendance in your name, downloadable as a PDF, with a code and a public verification page, plus an Open Badge to put on LinkedIn. Marking happens on the server, and the correct answers never leave the site.
What happens if I fail the final test?
You can take it again, with no limit on attempts and no waiting time. The questions cover every chapter, so if one part is unclear it is worth going back to that chapter and reading it again before trying once more. The certificate is issued only when you pass, and it is never issued twice to the same person for the same course.
Can I use them to train my team?
Yes: they are open to anyone, and everyone who passes the test gets their own certificate in their own name. But if the goal is to get a team genuinely working in a different way, a written course is the starting point, not the finish line: corporate training works on your own codebase and your own real cases.
